Crafted by experienced artisans using the highest-quality leathers and traditional techniques, this Essex tuxedo oxford features a high-gloss patent finish that serves as the foundation of any black-tie look. Because they're lined with supple leather, they'll form to your foot and only get more comfortable the more you wear them. Patent leather gets its glossy look through the application of multiple layers of lacquer to the leather and though it is known mainly for its shine, the patent process also gives it some light water-repellent qualities.

Plus, they're finished with a Goodyear welt—which means you can have them resoled for a lifetime of wear.
